- My job of teaching science has taken me around the globe. I taught in India for three years and have since moved on to Istanbul (don't you dare call it Constantinople). If the experience thus far is any indication, then my stay may just be indefinite. Meanwhile--I maintain this blog to keep my friends and family all across the Earth up to date with my shenanigans. Honestly, it just keeps me from having to retell the same stories again and again. I'm posting this blog in order to keep up with my family and friends back home and to keep them informed about my (mis-)adventures.

Ok, we have GOT to figure out how to "family chat" with you. Mike, Rae, Kaylee, your Dad and I did so last night. How can we do it with you? Also, why no SKYPE?

You appear to be feeling homesick... but look at the bright side, you now have science experiments for your entire class to work on this year. Make your next chemistry assignment: How to Remove Mold. You'll get a lesson out of it and next monsoon season, you'll have a few more solutions to try. Miss you bunches.

I love Rae's suggestion to turn Monsoon Season into your own little lab experience. It's so crazy, it just might work!
